The Sescom SES-AB-SWITCH Flip2 A/B switch solves the common issue of two source selection of 3.5mm stereo sources such as iPods, Computers, Android Smart Phones and iPhone Smartphones, iMacs, MP3 players, PC Sound Card outputs and more! Requires no power and can be used bidirectional. Saves wear and tear on constant equipment connects and disconnects.
I think I understand the problem. I had a similar issue some time ago and managed to resolve it.I went through some tests just to check a few things first.Connect a mic directly to the audio inputs on the XS and monitor through headphones direct into the XS. Ensure that no USB connection have been made to the XS.Ensure that mic is selected in the audio input menu, not line.Do the same test above with a line source, an mp3 player or something but battery powered.Set the source to line on the XS.If the above test results in no noise on the A/D input when monitored through headphones you know the problem is not with the XS.The reason I mentioned removing the USB lead is that at one point I noticed a hum just as you describe when the USB lead was connected to the XS.Next test is to plug and mic or line source into the XS and monitor through the line outs, then Aux outs, then headphone out.If you hear the noise the connections between the amp and your XS is at fault or the amp itself.Remember to select the correct mode, line or mic, for the A/D input, dependant on the source you are plugging in. I also noticed that certain DSP effects will add noise into the mix. When I got the XS I hardly ever used the A/D input due to this type of noise, but after taking care with balancing leads and equipment, high quality leads, reducing earth loops and generally fault finding when things happened I now use the A/D inputs all the time. I must add that the XS is much more picky about what kind of equipment is plugged into it, audio and USB inputs. I recently had to remove an illuminated keyboard I had attached to the XS because the keyboard kept crashing on startup. I hope some of this might help. 59ce067264
